This very cute little moneybox would have been given to children opening an account with the Williams & Glyn's Bank (now part of the Royal Bank of Scotland) in the 1970s. It was made by Tresor Verlag in West Germany and has the copyright year 1967 on the base. I think this is quite a rare piece. I've never seen another one. It is in pretty good condition, with only minor wear consistent with age. The words "Williams & Glyn's Bank" on the horse's saddle are slightly worn. Measures 11cm (4.5in) wide, 11cm (4.5in) high and 5cm (2in) deep. *Special UK postage rate: just 1.50 for this item, if bought alone!*
